Ad & affiliate disclosure
Last updated 2026-10-20
How we make money
This site is free and independent. We plan to fund it through affiliate links: if you click certain links to battery-test providers or EV products and then buy something, the seller may pay us a commission, at no extra cost to you. We have applied to affiliate programmes (for example AVILOO and the Awin network). As of the date above, none of the links on this site are affiliate links and we have not earned any commission.
How affiliate links are marked
- Every affiliate link is followed by "(paid link)".
- Any box or section that contains affiliate links is labelled "Ad" at the top, with a short disclosure next to the links.
- Affiliate links carry
rel="sponsored"for search engines.
This follows the UK CAP Code and ASA guidance (marketing must be obviously identifiable, labelled "Ad" upfront) and the US FTC Endorsement Guides (material connections disclosed clearly and conspicuously next to the link).
Editorial independence
- Commissions never change the data we show. Battery figures, rankings and comparisons come only from the cited sources and owner reports.
- We are not paid by any car manufacturer, dealer or data source, and we do not publish sponsored articles. If we ever do, they will be labelled "Ad".
- We may mention or link to providers we earn nothing from, because they are useful.
