Used Peugeot e-2008 battery health & degradation data
Last updated: · 13 sourced data points
Peugeot's electric small SUV, sold in the UK since 2020. The 13 UK dealer AVILOO certificates we found for the 50 kWh version (5,000 to 46,000 miles) ranged from 90.6% to 100.2%, with the lower results on the higher-mileage cars. Sources: EV Database, Car360, [2], [3].
Battery options: e-2008 (2020-on) small SUV: 50 kWh nominal / 46.3 kWh usable NMC622 (UK listings July 2020 – July 2025); from July 2023 also 54 kWh / 50.8 kWh usable NMC811. EV Database lists the same 50 kWh pack specification for the e-208, Corsa-e and Mokka-e. (EV Database, [2], [3], [4])
Chemistry: NMC622 prismatic cells (216 cells, 108s2p) in the 50 kWh pack; NMC811 (102 cells, 102s1p) in the 54 kWh pack, per EV Database. (EV Database, [2])

Data gaps: No AVILOO median or other large study covers the e-2008 itself (AVILOO publishes one for the e-208, which uses the same 50 kWh pack). Every figure here is a single UK car at 5,000–46,000 miles; there is no data yet for the 54 kWh version or for high-mileage cars, and no published UK battery replacement price.
What to check when buying a used e-2008
- Check which battery the car has: 50 kWh (46.3 kWh usable, 2020–2025) or 54 kWh (50.8 kWh usable, from July 2023). All our data is from 50 kWh cars, so don't compare a 54 kWh car's result with it directly. (EV Database, [2])
- Don't rely on the car's own SoH figure. On the 13 UK AVILOO certificates we found, the car's BMS read up to 3.6 points lower than AVILOO on some cars and up to 3.7 points higher on others (four showed 101–103%), so a dashboard or OBD figure can mislead either way. (Car360, [2], [3])
- Run the GOV.UK recall check on the registration. DVSA lists R/2022/012 (e-2008s built Nov 2019 – Sep 2020: over-sensitive open-circuit detection, possible sudden power loss), R/2023/009 and R/2025/120 (2008 Electric built Sep – Dec 2022: traction battery control and Battery Monitoring Unit software) and R/2023/140 (air-conditioning compressor wiring that could shut down the powertrain, 2008s built Nov 2019 – Oct 2022). Ask for proof the work was done. (DVSA, GOV.UK)
- Check the warranty dates: Peugeot UK covers the battery for 8 years or 100,000 miles (70% capacity), so the earliest 2020 cars are covered until 2028. Ask for the Peugeot service history. (Peugeot UK)
- Compare any test result with the ranges above and with the ADAC rule of thumb: at least 92% at 50,000 km, 88% at 100,000 km, 84% at 150,000 km, 80% at 200,000 km. (ADAC)
Battery warranty (UK)
Peugeot UK: traction battery warranty of 8 years or 100,000 miles for 70% of its capacity (Peugeot international: 8 years / 160,000 km, minimum 70%). Confirm the first-registration date and cover for the specific car with Peugeot. Source: Peugeot UK, checked 2026-10-30. Always confirm the terms for the specific car with the manufacturer.

We are not paid by these test providers. How we make money.
Model averages can't tell you about the car in front of you. An independent battery test (typically a short OBD plug-in test, some remote) gives an SoH figure and often a certificate you can use when negotiating.
- AVILOO – Independent OBD-based battery test (FLASH / Premium) with certificate; available via partners in the UK and EU.
- Generational – UK OBD plug-in test with certificate (SoH, range, remaining warranty, cell balance); sold through dealers and independent mobile testers.
- Moba – Postal OBD kit: you run the test yourself and post the box back for a digital battery certificate (Europe – check vehicle support and delivery country).
